Garibaldo Quijana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orti Sánchez in the 16th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fillos de Breogán were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oto Gómez took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Oto Gómez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Lope Herrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garibaldo Quijana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orti Sánchez in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 28th minute of the match Fillos de Breogán got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oto Gómez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Orti Sánchez made a great header on Fillos de Breogán's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. When Fillos de Breogán's Orti Sánchez, in the 28th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Fillos de Breogán. Fillos de Breogán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Fillos de Breogán's Garibaldo Quijana got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Bogatu in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Orti Sánchez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute Calisto Abril shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garibaldo Quijana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orti Sánchez in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Garibaldo Quijana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 64 minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xesus Galaiko in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fillos de Breogán's Xoan Galaiko was substituted for Xesus Galaiko. The Fillos de Breogán fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
