FC Henter Somosd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Weets was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Eleuterio Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Mees in the 7th minute of play. River de Ramos Mejía's Eleuterio Maureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Mees in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in River de Ramos Mejía's zone, Frank Mees stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Maureo came out of the goal and Frank Mees tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Grabiel in the 12th minute of play forced FC Henter Somosd's goalkeeper Gábor Király to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Grabiel came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gábor Király could save by the left post. In the 15th minute of the match River de Ramos Mejía got a corner. FC Henter Somosd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mădălin Holban ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adriano Fontana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Henter Somosd's Gábor Király did a great save. The supporters of FC Henter Somosd booed when River de Ramos Mejía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Pedalas Peca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerardo McMillan struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Eleuterio Maureo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Henter Somosd. Frank Mees's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eleuterio Maureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. FC Henter Somosd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Gonzalo Bergessio scored to the left of an out of position Gábor Király, making the score, 2-0. Gerardo McMillan kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Eleuterio Maureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Mees, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gábor Király made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Maties in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Gonzalo Bergessio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Weets was the one to do the kick off. Gábor Király made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Grabiel in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 played minutes River de Ramos Mejía got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Holban. Gábor Király showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Weets in the 56th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, FC Henter Somosd's Frank Mees sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eleuterio Maureo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tamás Antal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Maureo having to interfere. With a little luck, River de Ramos Mejía's Eleuterio Maureo got control of the ball when Frank Mees tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by River de Ramos Mejía's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerardo McMillan was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Henter Somosd's players had a chance to rest. Ziemowit Tylinski made a great header on FC Henter Somosd's corner, it was just that River de Ramos Mejía's Eleuterio Maureo managed to reach the ball for a save. FC Henter Somosd's Gábor Király played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Weets in the 75th minute of play. Angelo Grabiel took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gábor Király. Gábor Király dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. River de Ramos Mejía's Gabriel-Omar Batistuta was substituted for Gonzalo Bergessio. Ulises Ugaitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eleuterio Maureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Christian Weets's late challenge caught a FC Henter Somosd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Weets helped the player get up and apologised. Christian Weets kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Ulises Ugaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eleuterio Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Tylinski in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ulises Ugaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eleuterio Maureo was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, River de Ramos Mejía's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Ugaitz came free, but Eleuterio Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Henter Somosd were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after River de Ramos Mejía's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulises Ugaitz took the corner. The corner led to FC Henter Somosd's Ziemowit Tylinski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. River de Ramos Mejía's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
