Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chen Ao Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Hamrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Hamrin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 26th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Hans Petersson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Skövde AIK's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronnie Hellström came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Norström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Kurt Hamrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chen Ao Fan made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Hans Petersson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 65th minute, Kurt Hamrin made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 67 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Krister Uggstedt. In the 73rd match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Petersson to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chen Ao Fan took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronnie Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Keegan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match, Patricio Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronnie Hellström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Skövde AIK had played much better football throughout.
