Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Murillo got the match started through his kick off. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Checa in the 5th minute of play. Fabricio Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Itacaruaré's Lancelot Cambero. Lancelot Cambero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lancelot Cambero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Itacaruaré's Lancelot Cambero managed to reach the ball for a save. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lancelot Cambero having to interfere. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lancelot Cambero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lancelot Cambero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lancelot Cambero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lancelot Cambero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Benitez to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Checa in the 54th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, Itacaruaré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Vergaray to maneuver through the defense. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Qwinton made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Victor Qwinton however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Itacaruaré's Victor Qwinton got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milagros Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 72nd minute of play forced Itacaruaré's goalkeeper Lancelot Cambero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Itacaruaré's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Lancelot Cambero in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Peru booed when Itacaruaré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Hanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lancelot Cambero. Itacaruaré's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Checa in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lancelot Cambero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lancelot Cambero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré's Emilio Benitez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which Lancelot Cambero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
