Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Lanny Gilmore made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3 minutes, Valentín Carvallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Santos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lanny Gilmore went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 15th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Santos FC were awarded a corner. Warren Ruiz went to the cornerflag to take it. Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 20th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Lautaro Navarro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 24 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Smallwood. Santos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lanny Gilmore in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Tyron Velasquez sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Cesar Small could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. In the 38th minute of the game, Cesar Small landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Christian Sancho fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Christian Sancho a yellow card for diving instead. Santos FC made a substitution. Reyes Ritter replaced Cesar Small. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Christian Sancho hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Santos FC's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lanny Gilmore, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Santos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Warren Ruiz in the 43rd minute. The corner led Santos FC's Warren Ruiz to fire away a dangerous shot which Lautaro Navarro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tyron Velasquez struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Lanny Gilmore took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Tyron Velasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyron Velasquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 55th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Santos FC got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Warren Ruiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Santos FC's Terence Nicholas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lanny Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Mike Richardson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Mike Richardson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Valentín Carvallo in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santos FC's Titus Kohler. In the 70th minute, Lanny Gilmore made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 73 minutes into the match, Santos FC's Mike Richardson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 74 minutes, Lanny Gilmore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lanny Gilmore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Gilmore came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Tyron Velasquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 89th minute of play. The Santos FC fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 96th minute, Mike Richardson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
