With a little luck, Karhulan Veikot's Jere Noronen got control of the ball when Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Hemminki Kuuttinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karhulan Veikot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.R.FlaBrasília the free kick. In the 8th minute, Hemminki Kuuttinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes C.R.FlaBrasília got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho. Abel Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olen Homo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Reijo Ilola. Reijo Ilola's late challenge caught a C.R.FlaBrasília's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reijo Ilola helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Reijo Ilola. Olen Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jere Noronen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho in the 26th minute. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Karhulan Veikot's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho was slow to take the kick. During this time C.R.FlaBrasília's players had a chance to rest. Wilson Cardoso made a great header on C.R.FlaBrasília's corner, it was just that Karhulan Veikot's Jere Noronen managed to reach the ball for a save. C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olen Homo in the 34th minute of play. Olen Homo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olen Homo ran back to his position shaking his head. C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olen Homo in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Gaúcho got free with Jere Noronen in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Miko Karjala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Montenegro was the one to do the kick off. In the last second Abel Torres throw himself and got hold of the ball when Olen Homo in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a defensive mix-up in C.R.FlaBrasília's zone, Olen Homo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Torres came out of the goal and Olen Homo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olen Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olen Homo in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Olen Homo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 61 in the game by Olen Homo from a close distance when the talented Abel Torres managed to make a qualified save. C.R.FlaBrasília's players were relieved. Abel Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olen Homo in the 68th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Olen Homo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olen Homo in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olen Homo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Abel Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Cardoso hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Miko Karjala. Abel Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olen Homo in the 82nd minute. Olen Homo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Miko Karjala came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Karhulan Veikot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miko Karjala couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Karhulan Veikot's Abel Torres threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olen Homo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olen Homo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.R.FlaBrasília succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Karhulan Veikot had controlled the match.
