A very good chance. Abel Torres made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Teofilo Quintyn sent off a good shot on target. Abel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Ignacio Cianci in the 6th minute of play. Juan Ignacio Cianci was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 10th minute, Juan Ignacio Cianci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in C.R.FlaBrasília's zone, Teofilo Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Torres came out of the goal and Teofilo Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Juan Ignacio Cianci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Torres. C.R.FlaBrasília's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Ignacio Cianci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Abel Torres was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Guillermo Barros Schelotto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guillermo Barros Schelotto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Juan Ignacio Cianci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Torres having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Guga Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.R.FlaBrasília and the C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guga Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Zeledon Markel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teofilo Quintyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Abel Torres made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Valdo Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres got control of the ball when Guillermo Barros Schelotto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 minutes C.R.FlaBrasília's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lázaro Eyague who took care of the corner kick. Bernard Pozorski made a great header on C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's corner, it was just that C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres managed to reach the ball for a save. After 46 played minutes C.R.FlaBrasília got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Seco. The supporters of C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA booed when C.R.FlaBrasília was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA made a substitution. Arnoldo Otsoa replaced Guillermo Barros Schelotto. In the 48th minute, Luiz Fernando Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Abad in the 55th minute of play forced C.R.FlaBrasília's goalkeeper Abel Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Quintyn came free, but Abel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Teofilo Quintyn put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abel Torres. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teofilo Quintyn in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel Torres came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Lázaro Eyague. But to his dismay, Lázaro Eyague quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Abel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Ignacio Cianci in the 70th minute of play. Otto Colin scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 74 played minutes, C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Jesus Abad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Torres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA reached it. 79 minutes into the match, C.R.FlaBrasília's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Quintyn came free, but Abel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otto Colin took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Torres. Abel Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When Wilson Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.R.FlaBrasília's protests and gave Wilson Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Anastasio Nicholas was substituted for Jesus Abad. In the 87th match minute, C.R.FlaBrasília was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Teofilo Quintyn notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of C.R.FlaBrasília's Abel Torres. Abel Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teofilo Quintyn took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Torres. Abel Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. When the referee ended the match the C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
