Elizabeth Three Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Danny Ings was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jere Noronen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Max Washington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Elizabeth Three Lions FC from getting a goal against them. Olen Homo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Edson Alvarez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Karhulan Veikot's Jere Noronen. Jere Noronen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karhulan Veikot's Jere Noronen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Alvarez in the 35th minute of play. Olen Homo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 47th playminute. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Engin Alpman was substituted for Thomas Gamble.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danny Ings to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 78th minute Albert Knowles managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 80th minute, Darryl Furniss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roni Vihermäki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Max Washington. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Elizabeth Three Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Max Washington should have stopped the shot. Jere Noronen made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Edson Alvarez sent off a good shot on target. The Karhulan Veikot supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Elizabeth Three Lions FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Elizabeth Three Lions FC.
