In the 13th minute Zdzislaw Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Safet Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loui Volens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Sandberg in the 15th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Måns Sandberg in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Loui Volens saved De Beverpatrouille from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Toby Van Bever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loui Volens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute Norrlands Athen were awarded a corner. Filcho Slivkov went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Norrlands Athen's Stig-Arne Deckberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Loui Volens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Måns Sandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Beverpatrouille's Loui Volens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Måns Sandberg got free with Loui Volens in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loui Volens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Måns Sandberg in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in De Beverpatrouille's zone, Måns Sandberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loui Volens came out of the goal and Måns Sandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Måns Sandberg took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loui Volens. Loui Volens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Juan Lebron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Loui Volens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Lebron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Lebron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loui Volens having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When Stephen Everts fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Beverpatrouille's protests and gave Stephen Everts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, De Beverpatrouille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephen Everts to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loui Volens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen Everts got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when De Beverpatrouille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephen Everts didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Måns Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Hermansson was substituted for Måns Sandberg. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Calle Bergfelt replaced Mathias Alrot. Dreas Uijtterhoven's late challenge caught a Norrlands Athen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. De Beverpatrouille's Loui Volens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lebron in the 66th minute of play. The Norrlands Athen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Juan Lebron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Gilbert Hermansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Loui Volens was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Norrlands Athen had played much better football throughout.
