Ahmet Necdet Secavend came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Heiligenboom's Humberto Lute. But to his dismay, Humberto Lute quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Heiligenboom's Humberto Lute got a free kick in the 7th minute. Keramettin İshak scored 1-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jostein Sønsteby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heiligenboom's Jostein Sønsteby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Heiligenboom from getting a goal against them. Lisandro Rojas kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Alvarenga in the 17th minute of play forced San Marino İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Secavend to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Heiligenboom's Jostein Sønsteby got control of the ball when Serter Usal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jostein Sønsteby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Momčilo Janič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerwin Steyns in the 30th minute of play forced San Marino İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Secavend to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Necdet Secavend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Alvarenga in the 31st minute of play. Serter Usal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Jostein Sønsteby when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jostein Sønsteby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keramettin İshak, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute Momčilo Janič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jostein Sønsteby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Momčilo Janič to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Heiligenboom's goal looked a bit too open when Serter Usal came free, but Jostein Sønsteby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Erberk Zülfikar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jostein Sønsteby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Celsinho Alvarenga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Necdet Secavend was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Jostein Sønsteby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serter Usal, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd match minute, Heiligenboom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Lute to maneuver through the defense. After 65th play minutes Momčilo Janič shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Jostein Sønsteby and just under the crossbar into goal. Serter Usal scored 3-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jostein Sønsteby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jostein Sønsteby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serter Usal's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 75 minutes, Humberto Lute made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. San Marino İdman Yurdu's Ahmet Necdet Secavend tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Heiligenboom's goal looked a bit too open when Erberk Zülfikar came free, but Jostein Sønsteby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Momčilo Janič got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that San Marino İdman Yurdu were the better team. San Marino İdman Yurdu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
