Edmundo Valle was slow to take the kick. During this time Ríver Late's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ríver Late's Edmundo Valle to fire away a dangerous shot which Fynn John despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Atlético Mineiro were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Ríver Late's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomé Brasil took the corner. A nice corner shot did that André Luís Best got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adam Adamski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Ríver Late booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Atlético Mineiro getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. André Luís Best hit a great ball. Mijailo Mudryk hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Olívio França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Mineiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John got control of the ball when Leopoldo Jacinto Luque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adam Adamski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ríver Late's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Valle in the 42nd minute. Olívio França blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Adamski having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olívio França made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Ove Friberger got a free kick in the 50th minute. After 51 played minutes, Ríver Late's Edmundo Valle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fynn John came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ríver Late reached it. When Leopoldo Jacinto Luque came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ríver Late fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Jacinto Luque couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's goalkeeper Adam Adamski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olívio França. Espiridion Ascot scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fynn John, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Olívio França came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Atlético Mineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio França couldn't finish the play. Ríver Late made a substitution. Luís Dias replaced Silvério Vargas. Ríver Late's Adam Adamski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ríver Late from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ríver Late's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 78th match minute, Ríver Late was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Pavon to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Walmyr Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Mineiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Adamski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Atlético Mineiro defense, Paolo Musko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fynn John. The Atlético Mineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fynn John should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Paolo Musko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fynn John. Atlético Mineiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Musko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Gonzo Donis charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzo Donis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Gonzo Donis got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Ríver Late players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
