The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Comunardo Cianci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Grande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Edoardo Grande managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Vc Brye's Gabríel Vassaras fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Narciso Gartzen's late challenge caught a Vc Brye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Gartzen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vc Brye booed when ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edoardo Grande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabríel Vassaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Comunardo Cianci recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edoardo Grande. Comunardo Cianci showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Dan Cutean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edoardo Grande, 2-0. Edoardo Grande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Vieri in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luís Koehler to make the kick off. Cristian Vieri kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Vc Brye's Henri-Patrick De Mare got control of the ball when André Luís Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Gabríel Vassaras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vc Brye's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcio Lacorte in the 61st minute. After 61 played minutes Vc Brye got a freekick which was hit by Dan Cutean. 63 minutes into the match, ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's goal looked a bit too open when Gabríel Vassaras came free, but Edoardo Grande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If André Luís Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's Edelmiro Selmo was substituted for Cristo Matxin. Thanks to some nice moves André Luís Koehler could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Henri-Patrick De Mare however easily saved by the left post. Edoardo Grande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabríel Vassaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Cristian Vieri scored 5-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edoardo Grande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ defense, Gabríel Vassaras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edoardo Grande. The ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edoardo Grande should have stopped the shot. The supporters of ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ booed when Vc Brye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabríel Vassaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's Edoardo Grande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fox 鲁迅 in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Gabríel Vassaras made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Grande. ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Gabríel Vassaras took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edoardo Grande. Edoardo Grande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Vc Brye walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
