With an all-out effort, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Stephan Wielens threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cvetin Luković, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 45 minutes of play, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Danny Ings made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stephan Wielens was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Alastair Howson was substituted for Alonso Quesada. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shi Yao Zhen to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephan Wielens prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
