Heiligenboom's Jostein Sønsteby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Meira in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Heiligenboom's Celsinho Alvarenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Alvarenga got free with Gustavo Vides in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerwin Steyns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gustavo Vides made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Alvarenga in the 32nd minute of play forced Ponta da Praia FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Lute, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Hermínio Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vincent Beukers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerwin Steyns in the 66th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Ponta da Praia FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Barreto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Alvarenga in the 69th minute of play forced Ponta da Praia FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elmar Kuijsten kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Ponta da Praia FC's Hermínio Gerber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Betão da Silva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Heiligenboom booed when Ponta da Praia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball.
