Baltasar Coya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Carioca in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when 25 de Noviembre FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Casaviella didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Juan Casaviella dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgar Trigo, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Carioca in the 32nd minute of play forced 25 de Noviembre FBC's goalkeeper Baltasar Coya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Villalobos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Franco Villalobos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 35th minute. Baltasar Coya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Lira in the 40th minute of the match. Barrenta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Gerber in the 41st minute. Hugo Gerber made a great header on Barrenta SC's corner, it was just that 25 de Noviembre FBC's Baltasar Coya managed to reach the ball for a save. If Sydney Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute.
