Haroldo Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Patricio Nesto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Trigo came out of the goal and Patricio Nesto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Barrenta SC's Sydney Carioca in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Las Momias F. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Edgar Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Tarragon's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sydney Carioca sped through Las Momias F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camilo Honesto. With an all-out effort, Las Momias F. C.'s Edgar Trigo threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Tarragon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 32nd minute Walmyr Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Honesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Carioca in the 35th minute of play forced Las Momias F. C.'s goalkeeper Camilo Honesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Carioca in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Honesto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renan Diniz tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Edgar Trigo. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match, Cristian Tarragon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar Trigo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aris Totenberg in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Trigo saved Barrenta SC from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sydney Carioca to make the kick off. Hugo Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Camilo Honesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Carioca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Camilo Honesto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Walmyr Lira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Honesto. That made the score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. Las Momias F. C.'s Camilo Honesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Carioca in the 58th minute of play. Camilo Honesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Azevedo in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65thth minute of the game Sydney Carioca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Momias F. C.'s Camilo Honesto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Las Momias F. C.'s Camilo Honesto got control of the ball when Joel Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Sydney Carioca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Momias F. C.'s Camilo Honesto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Las Momias F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Carioca came free, but Camilo Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Honesto made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Joel Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Haroldo Lleir made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Trigo. Barrenta SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Barrenta SC's Luiz Fábio Lima was substituted for Thomás Braga. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Honesto was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Walmyr Lira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walmyr Lira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. The Barrenta SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
