With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliciano Baumar in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torcato Modesto saved Club Atletico Lanus from getting behind. Feliciano Baumar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torcato Modesto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Feliciano Baumar might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torcato Modesto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliciano Baumar ran back to his position shaking his head. Torcato Modesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Alvaro Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Cilio in the 17th minute of play. When Feliciano Baumar came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Scofield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Baumar couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Cilio in the 23rd minute of play forced Scofield's goalkeeper Alvaro Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Scofield's Alvaro Valente got control of the ball when Astor Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Club Atletico Lanus's Astor Sancho, in the 24th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Lanus. Torcato Modesto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feliciano Baumar went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliciano Baumar in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torcato Modesto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliciano Baumar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Scofield's Fabio Iago made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torcato Modesto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when 徐光辉 got free with Alvaro Valente in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute Feliciano Baumar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torcato Modesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torcato Modesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Baumar in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 徐光辉 made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Anastasio Gilesindo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Scofield's Aaron Bemabe quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Torcato Modesto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Baumar in the 57th minute. Scofield's Feliciano Baumar got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliciano Baumar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torcato Modesto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Scofield made a substitution. Cayetano Urdin replaced Feliciano Baumar. Club Atletico Lanus's Torcato Modesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Urdin in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Lanus's goalkeeper Torcato Modesto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If 徐光辉 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute 徐光辉 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnulfo Acuña during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Club Atletico Lanus got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Acuña. A collision led to Club Atletico Lanus getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Astor Sancho hit a great ball. Club Atletico Lanus's Torcato Modesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Urdin in the 80th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Scofield supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Scofield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
