Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Axel Tasis scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marin Luican, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Nanov fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Bălan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horea Lăzăroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Felix Hosu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Hosu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Hosu in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play forced Nanov fc's goalkeeper Marin Luican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Nanov fc got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Bălan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Gugulanu in the 25th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nanov fc the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Felix Hosu sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Gugulanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nanov fc booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Costel Gugulanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Horea Lăzăroiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Hosu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Gugulanu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Nanov fc's Costel Gugulanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 65th minute, Felix Hosu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nanov fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. If Bogdan Neguțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Tasis succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-2. In the 81st minute of the match, Axel Tasis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marin Luican was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Călin Vochin's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Călin Vochin helped the player get up and apologised. Călin Vochin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes, Costel Gugulanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nanov fc and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Nanov fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Gugulanu to maneuver through the defense.
