Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Doherty hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Tiomoid Doherty. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donleavy Barrett was the one to do the kick off. Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 52nd minute of play. Donleavy Barrett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ersin Uyguralp was slow to take the kick. During this time 1948 MKS's players had a chance to rest. 1948 MKS's Ersin Uyguralp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ter Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tiomoid Doherty hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Isaac McPaul got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 70th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Donleavy Barrett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ter Stegen came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ter Stegen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 88th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baoithin Doherty in the 89th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donleavy Barrett in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Gilbert Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
