If Gustav Kihlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Högman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joachim Högman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Joachim Högman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Joachim Högman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Joachim Högman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Joachim Högman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play forced Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goalkeeper Joachim Högman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Luis Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Bernt Stigsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustav Kihlberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettore Giusti to maneuver through the defense. In the 56thth minute of the game Oliver Giroud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goalkeeper Joachim Högman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Joachim Högman in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joachim Högman. Joachim Högman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Giroud in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС were awarded a corner. Gustav Kihlberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cato Onstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Giroud, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС to leave the ground with a draw.
