The supporters of Venezuela booed when Knipan IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Ekelund didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Dick Näfver threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Alex Chicote quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Pombal was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olle Bröms got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Olle Bröms reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. Gert Ekelund kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Knipan IF's Gunnar Dalberg was substituted for Rutger Boman. In the 50th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Nordin in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes, Gunnar Dalberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knipan IF and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. 58 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Nordin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Knipan IF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Edgar Nordin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 70th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Nordin's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Nordin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Knipan IF getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Edgar Nordin hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olle Bröms in the 76th minute of play. Gunnar Dalberg hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
