Zamalek FC Park

Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Reese Otto kicked off to start the match. Zamalek FC's Fred Kirkpatrick got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Kirkpatrick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fred Kirkpatrick 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Zamalek FC's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reese Otto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39th minute, Tytus Banaszak made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Tytus Banaszak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 51 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zamalek FC's Reese Otto in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Zamalek FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Luis Andino scored to the left of an out of position Rhys Dimmock, making the score, 2-1. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Reese Otto came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Reese Otto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reese Otto in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute Davis Duff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reese Otto in the 75th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Zamalek FC's Reese Otto made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 87th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, Zamalek FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
