In the 7th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, BK Ugglan's Henk Van Linthout nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Sundberg in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adam Christoffersson's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Christoffersson helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes BK Ugglan got a freekick which was hit by Adam Christoffersson. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when BK Ugglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Nordlander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to BK Ugglan getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Per Paulin hit a great ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, BK Ugglan's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Patrik Fagrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henk Van Linthout got free with Julio Vera in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrik Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, BK Ugglan's Jim Kråk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henk Van Linthout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Sundberg to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Patrik Fagrell in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. BK Ugglan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Patrik Fagrell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Adam Christoffersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BK Ugglan made a substitution. Wiktor Anselius replaced Henk Van Linthout. BK Ugglan's Thomas Sundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrik Fagrell made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Kråk, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Sundberg in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to BK Ugglan getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BK Ugglan were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
