Joris Verheecke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Elazar Calderon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Elazar Calderon slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 28th minute. The supporters of Wisła Tczew booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play forced Wisła Tczew's goalkeeper Joris Verheecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Joris Verheecke despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zula Pryputnicki's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zula Pryputnicki helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wisła Tczew's Zula Pryputnicki got a free kick in the 68th minute. Agustín Saelices blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joris Verheecke having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elazar Calderon in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 75th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Verheecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
