Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Felix Negrescu kicked off to start the match. Daniel Anton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute of the match, Emilian Blăniță tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th match minute, Tineretul Arad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Maior to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Sergiu Alupoaie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Anton was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daniel Anton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Anton. Daniel Anton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Felix Negrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Mănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 49th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Negrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Costa Rica's Daniel Anton threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Axel Tasis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Blăniță, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Cazimir Maior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Costa Rica were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Tineretul Arad side.
