The Dalwhinnie Boys's Arne Tellingen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Pihlgren in the 14th minute of play. Tim Löv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Ottens, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Elco Theuws could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tim Löv made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Smeekes in the 34th minute of play forced Cosmopolitan FC's goalkeeper Tim Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Wilfried Ottens ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tim Löv. Tim Löv yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. After 44 minutes, Theo Smeekes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Dalwhinnie Boys and the Cosmopolitan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cosmopolitan FC booed when The Dalwhinnie Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Smeekes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mattias Pihlgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cosmopolitan FC booed when The Dalwhinnie Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitrie Kuypers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosmopolitan FC's Allan Hedlund couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Dalwhinnie Boys. Theo Smeekes struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Tim Löv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Dalwhinnie Boys. Roel Geerdink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Löv having to interfere. In the 64th minute Wilfried Ottens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The coaching staff of Cosmopolitan FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Kvick had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
