A sloppy throw-in by Florentino Rodriguez in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by DARAS's Antim Karamanski. In the 6th minute Toni Nenchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tabb Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tabb Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzo Ivanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Vute Baliev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tio Cabezon in the 17th minute of the match. Nedyalko Berberov's late challenge caught a Ciruel Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nedyalko Berberov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute of the match José Puyol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vute Baliev skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, DARAS's Iliya Kasabov got a free kick in the 21st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Vute Baliev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vute Baliev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tio Cabezon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, DARAS's Toni Nenchev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tabb Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tabb Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzo Ivanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Gonzo Ivanov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tabb Barral. Ciruel Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gonzo Ivanov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Tabb Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzo Ivanov in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Rafael Villanueva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciruel Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DARAS the free kick. After 43 played minutes Ciruel Academy got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Villanueva. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tio Cabezon was the one to do the kick off. Vute Baliev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tio Cabezon went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Tabb Barral came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by DARAS's Volodya Biradzhiev. But to his dismay, Volodya Biradzhiev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Ciruel Academy made a substitution. Rufo Azofra replaced Rafael Villanueva. Iliya Kasabov charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iliya Kasabov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Iliya Kasabov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DARAS's Paolo Rossi was substituted for Toni Nenchev. Iliya Kasabov kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tio Cabezon might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vute Baliev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tio Cabezon ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the game, Paolo Rossi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tabb Barral. Paolo Rossi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. 79 minutes into the match, DARAS's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomé Sabina came free, but Vute Baliev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perico Rojas lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ciruel Academy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! In the 85th minute of the game, DARAS got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Bartolomé Sabina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinnie Jones hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th match minute, DARAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedyalko Berberov to maneuver through the defense. If Estebano Vuelta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartolomé Sabina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
