Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes ITA Arad got a freekick which was hit by Sever Ţurcaş. In the 5th minute, Virgil Jupân left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 12 played minutes Francisc Grecescu rounded PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when ITA Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Caranfil didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sever Ţurcaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Phoenix in the 26th minute of play forced ITA Arad's goalkeeper Genzo Wakashimazu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mircea Jupân scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genzo Wakashimazu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sorin Nicorici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgil Jupân blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genzo Wakashimazu having to make a save. In the 44thth minute of the game Golo Phoenix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ITA Arad's Genzo Wakashimazu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nistor Săvoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The ITA Arad players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were winning 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul Ipate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in ITA Arad's zone, Mircea Jupân stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genzo Wakashimazu came out of the goal and Mircea Jupân tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genzo Wakashimazu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Mircea Jupân sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Strong Phoenix. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ITA Arad! The referee gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lucian Şimonca, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ITA Arad's Genzo Wakashimazu. 2-5. 67 minutes into the match, ITA Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Golo Phoenix came free, but Genzo Wakashimazu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes ITA Arad got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Caranfil. Mircea Jupân received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Genzo Wakashimazu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rdth minute of the game Golo Phoenix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ITA Arad's Genzo Wakashimazu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mircea Jupân sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genzo Wakashimazu made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Virgil Jupân sent off a good shot on target. Costel Gurgui hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Victor Ababei was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The ITA Arad fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
