Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felix Mihăilescu started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Costel Gurgui. In the 13th minute, Siim Hõlpus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the game, Felix Mihăilescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eduard Vanaliin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Golo Phoenix looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 22 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Felix Mihăilescu. In the 34th minute Virgil Jupân shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Vanaliin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Jupân came free, but Eduard Vanaliin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduard Vanaliin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Mihăilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Felix Mihăilescu took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduard Vanaliin. Eduard Vanaliin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaspar Kungla to strike the kick off in the second half. Markus Poom kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Vermeşan in the 59th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Eduard Vanaliin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Virgil Jupân kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eduard Vanaliin. That made the score 0-6 in the 61 minute of play. In the 66th minute Virgil Jupân shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Vanaliin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Burnley FC defense, Golo Phoenix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduard Vanaliin. The Burnley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduard Vanaliin should have stopped the shot. Eduard Vanaliin made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Golo Phoenix sent off a good shot on target. Eduard Vanaliin made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Felix Mihăilescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute Virgil Jupân shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Vanaliin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Burnley FC defense, Felix Mihăilescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduard Vanaliin. The Burnley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduard Vanaliin should have stopped the shot. Eduard Vanaliin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Rotariu in the 89th minute of the match. Eduard Vanaliin made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Felix Mihăilescu sent off a good shot on target. Virgil Jupân fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Vanaliin having to interfere. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca played a much better game than Burnley FC and deserved their victory. The Burnley FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
