In the 39th minute of the match Klaas Jan Hellemons shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but 于响瑜 showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gerjan Staarman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 于响瑜 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The referee ignored SV Wissenkerke's protests and gave Mariano Bombarda a yellow card for diving instead. Stef Mol received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. 于响瑜 came out and tried to block the shot, but Stef Mol slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 70th minute. When Mariano Bombarda came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the SV Wissenkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Bombarda couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute Mariano Bombarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 于响瑜 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 安徽合肥秋刀鱼联队 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SV Wissenkerke were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
