Luiz Guilherme Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Guilherme Toscano saved Walla FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced Walla FC's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Luiz Guilherme Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 15 minutes into the game, Aguinaga Costilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Walla FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Palacios Castillo hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Guilherme Toscano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Montenegro scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Guilherme Toscano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Luiz Guilherme Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaviedes Lariz, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Aguinaga Costilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Aguinaga Costilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes Walla FC got a freekick which was hit by Savas Raptakis. Machado Vielva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After taking down the ball on Walla FC's corner Zambrano Loro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Savas Raptakis made the kick off in the second half. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Guilherme Toscano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Luiz Guilherme Toscano in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walla FC's Luiz Guilherme Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Walla FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 58 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savas Raptakis in the 60th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Luiz Guilherme Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Savas Raptakis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Machado Vielva's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Machado Vielva helped the player get up and apologised. Walla FC:s Luiz Guilherme Toscano showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. After having played for 68 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walla FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Toscano having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Walla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aguinaga Costilla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play forced Walla FC's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luiz Guilherme Toscano firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Luiz Guilherme Toscano made a huge save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savas Raptakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Walla FC throughout the match.
