Isaac Torsberg hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Vidar Browald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The supporters of SWARS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vidar Browald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Emander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vidar Browald read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Alf Lindmark sent off a good shot on target. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a SWARS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Lindmark in the 49th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Elof Apelqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SWARS and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elof Apelqvist hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Isaac Torsberg took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Vidar Browald made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Sven-Olof Vikström hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Vidar Browald made a huge save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Isaac Torsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stamen Zimbilev was slow to take the kick. During this time SWARS's players had a chance to rest. Rudolf Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Vidar Browald threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in SWARS's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vidar Browald came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SWARS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
