Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Tomás Quadros put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. In the 14th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. When MLM's Henrik Tidén in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Bob Cazeneuve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Cazeneuve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Quadros in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Tomás Quadros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Quadros slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 39th minute. MLM made a substitution. Xavian Revuelta replaced Charro Alavedra. Bob Cazeneuve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Quadros made a kick off. In the 51st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Cazeneuve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, MLM's Oliverio Lopez de Toro got a free kick in the 56th minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Quadros's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bob Cazeneuve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bob Cazeneuve. That made the score 2-1 in the 64 minute of play. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when MLM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salif Keita didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bob Cazeneuve narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Quadros in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 80 minutes into the game, Oliverio Lopez de Toro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MLM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. 80 minutes into the game, one of MLM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 81st minute, the referee gave Ecuador a penalty. Daniel Zorita looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Bob Cazeneuve. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bob Cazeneuve made a huge save. MLM's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Agustín Saelices 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. After 88 played minutes MLM got a freekick which was hit by Candido Valerón. After having played for 91 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of play forced MLM's goalkeeper Bob Cazeneuve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than MLM and deserved their victory. The MLM players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
