A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, Watford FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Birger Kielberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Watford FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Kielberg came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Birger Kielberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Watford FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Birger Kielberg. The Watford FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Birger Kielberg should have stopped the shot. Birger Kielberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Watford FC's Birger Kielberg. Birger Kielberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Watford FC's Magnus Målare got a free kick in the 25th minute. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. Watford FC's Birger Kielberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Juan Sebastián Puig managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Birger Kielberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Birger Kielberg. That made the score 0-7 after 54 minutes of play. Bo Enström's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Enström helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Watford FC got a freekick which was hit by Bo Enström. In the 61st minute, Magnus Målare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birger Kielberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Magnus Målare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Watford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 65th minute, Magnus Målare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Luis Andino sped through Watford FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Birger Kielberg. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-10. In the 75th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Birger Kielberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Birger Kielberg was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. 83 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Watford FC's Birger Kielberg. Birger Kielberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Birger Kielberg threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Sebastián Puig, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birger Kielberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 95 played minutes Luis Andino rounded Watford FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-13. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Watford FC.
