Juarês da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the game, Scotland Titans's Doni Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Scotland Titans's Jairo Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Juarês da Silveira threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Juarês da Silveira came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Juarês da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 89 minutes into the match, Scotland Titans's Jairo Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Scotland Titans's Jairo Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Chants of Scotland Titans echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
