With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Alexandre Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Amaral got free with Benito Sanz in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Amaral made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseo Noboa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeu Massa. That made the score 2-1 in the 52 minute of play. But to his dismay, Lautaro Puig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After 74 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the OLIMPIA SP players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75thth minute of the game Alexandre Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivélton Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3.
