Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A sloppy throw-in by Lauro Pontes in the 2nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Lauro Pontes made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of OLIMPIA SP's Amadeu Massa. Amadeu Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Amaral. OLIMPIA SP's Amadeu Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 21st minute of play. Amadeu Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 25th minute of play. Amadeu Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Amaral in the 30th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Alexandre Amaral sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, OLIMPIA SP's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Amadeu Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Amaral made a kick off. OLIMPIA SP's Amadeu Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save OLIMPIA SP from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Amadeu Massa threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Espiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alexandre Amaral's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, OLIMPIA SP's Amadeu Massa got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Andrézinho Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. OLIMPIA SP's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Amadeu Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Luiz Eduardo Mangueira hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Lauro Pontes's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Pontes helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes OLIMPIA SP got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Pontes. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alexandre Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the OLIMPIA SP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Amaral couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Amaral in the 75th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Amaral came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 86th minute, Andrézinho Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of OLIMPIA SP booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Lauro Pontes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than OLIMPIA SP throughout the match.
