Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) pamponiros's Fondas Zachakis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fanis Giannakopoulos saved pamponiros from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 14th minute of play forced pamponiros's goalkeeper Fanis Giannakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute. pamponiros's Fanis Giannakopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but pamponiros's Fanis Giannakopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in pamponiros's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fanis Giannakopoulos came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fanis Giannakopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. pamponiros's Fanis Giannakopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fondas Zachakis's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play forced pamponiros's goalkeeper Fanis Giannakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Giannakopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of pamponiros's Fanis Giannakopoulos. Fanis Giannakopoulos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fanis Giannakopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fanis Giannakopoulos having to make a save. In the 58th minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. Julio Vera had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Sakis Koutsopoulos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 59th minute, Sakis Koutsopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakis Koutsopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tito Villalba hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fanis Giannakopoulos having to interfere. If Ruben Natanael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Villalba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fanis Giannakopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 98th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. In the 99th minute of the match Sakis Koutsopoulos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. pamponiros succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
