The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Santos Lugares FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harun Uluer should have stopped the shot. If Salvador Aureo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play forced Santos Lugares FC's goalkeeper Harun Uluer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 21st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Lluc in the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, Santos Lugares FC's Harun Uluer got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artemio Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Harun Uluer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro pulled a muscle in his back after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Felix Montenegro. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Harun Uluer came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 93rd minute. Ricardo Evis kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santos Lugares FC throughout the match.
