Curro Quevedo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curro Quevedo having to interfere. Panama's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fresco Pais 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Curro Quevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Miralles in the 37th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosario Vilanova in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosario Vilanova got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Born To Win F.C.'s Gaizka Aballe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

The wind increased when Gaizka Aballe made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cordeiro Comas during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cordeiro Comas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fresco Pais in the 57th minute of play. Curro Quevedo was a little too slow when Abraham Alguacil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 4-3. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaizka Aballe in the 61st minute of play.
