Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Brataniec in the 30th minute of play. Bocho Bumbalov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute. Janusze's Waldemar Brataniec got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Brataniec in the 38th minute of play.

Bocho Bumbalov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bocho Bumbalov having to interfere. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
