Ilie Tudoran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valeriu Floricel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gelu Beșliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriu Floricel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Ferrant made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aaron Alcocer. The Costa Rica players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
