The supporters of BuanaRaya booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigoris Katsafanas got free with Dante Lacasa in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Grigoris Katsafanas came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in BuanaRaya's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cătălin Ostoici came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Facundo Cadaval got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cătălin Ostoici quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to BuanaRaya getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ahmet Ceyhan İlmi hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Cătălin Ostoici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 90th minute of play. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grigoris Katsafanas's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
