Hong Qing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Anton Donose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvar Ponce during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was substituted for Anton Donose. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aldo-Pedro Poy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hong Qing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 58th minute of play. The referee ignored Club Atlético Lea Papá's protests and gave Horacio Carbonari a yellow card for diving instead. Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Antonio Chamot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Indiano in the 83 minute of the game. Thiago Pliego didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hong Qing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chile players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
