Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 蔡义辉 having to interfere. After 22 played minutes FENERBAHÇE FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Zaretskiy. 26 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 蔡义辉 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Fedor Zaretskiy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE FC booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmanuil Chupin, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 53 minutes, Fedor Zaretskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FENERBAHÇE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fedor Zaretskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Villareal in the 61st minute of play. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FENERBAHÇE FC made a substitution. Oswaldo Marques replaced Emmanuil Chupin. FENERBAHÇE FC's Ivan Efimov was substituted for Fedor Zaretskiy. Jorge Villareal hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. FENERBAHÇE FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
