Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. The throw-in from Alex Chicote in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Nacional's Camilo Candido. In the 12th minute, Grabiel Escorcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Joseph Gayoso struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. 23 minutes into the match, Grabiel Escorcia notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grabiel Escorcia went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of Nacional booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grabiel Escorcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes of play, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grabiel Escorcia was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Grabiel Escorcia came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After 67 minutes, Grabiel Escorcia made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Grabiel Escorcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Nacional were awarded a corner. Xu Sha went to the cornerflag to take it. 71 minutes into the game, Joshua Secada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 80th minute, Walme Yurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grabiel Escorcia in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Nacional booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Nacional were the better team. Nacional's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
