SANFINS VLP's Wojciech Wojno suffered a sore thigh after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 6 minutes, Felix Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the SANFINS VLP players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SANFINS VLP defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Prada. The SANFINS VLP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Prada should have stopped the shot. David Prada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Prada came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SANFINS VLP! When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of David Prada. Valdemar Setúbal hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SANFINS VLP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SANFINS VLP:s goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 54 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Basílio Silveira who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Eduardo Viana. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. David Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
