Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Lindström in the 7th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Sjöberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Armando Paul made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Paul came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. D.J. Bobek was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 23 minutes into the match, JoynickFC's D.J. Bobek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, D.J. Bobek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ove Lindström managed to get in a good position for a shot. JoynickFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ove Lindström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by JoynickFC's Ove Lindström. But to his dismay, Ove Lindström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 35 minutes of play, JoynickFC's D.J. Bobek made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Lindström in the 44th minute of play. Armando Paul scored 0-5 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when D.J. Bobek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Lindström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Paul came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Paul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. 68 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Sjöberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by JoynickFC's D.J. Bobek. But to his dismay, D.J. Bobek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Paul went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ove Lindström went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. D.J. Bobek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JoynickFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
