Jacindo Farne started the match with the kick off. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salamón Ortuño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floydianos's goalkeeper Salamón Ortuño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute Valerio Gabler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pau Hormazabal got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hugo Vivanco. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Floydianos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viviano Alemparte didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salamón Ortuño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 44 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Salamón Ortuño was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Luis Angel Unda came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Floydianos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Angel Unda couldn't finish the play. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Salamón Ortuño in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Jacindo Farne notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valerio Gabler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floydianos's goalkeeper Salamón Ortuño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
