Fortunato Arranz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ysidro Ahumada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Arranz in the 18th minute of the match. Perez Rajo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Ulises Palomera threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 28th minute Fortunato Arranz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Supergato were awarded a corner. Klimowicz Mera went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Klimowicz Mera got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lautaro Navarro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klimowicz Mera in the 32nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Supergato booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, Supergato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perez Rajo to maneuver through the defense. Luca Espinar lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Supergato. Klimowicz Mera stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lautaro Navarro. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fortunato Arranz was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Supergato got a freekick which was hit by Klimowicz Mera. If Reasco Cuadra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Villa in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ysidro Ahumada saved Supergato from getting behind. After 59 minutes, Sebastian Villa made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Supergato's Ysidro Ahumada tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulises Palomera made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Renán Maza however managed to control. Supergato's Ysidro Ahumada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 68th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Moises Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ysidro Ahumada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Moises Tafalla notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Supergato's Ysidro Ahumada. Ysidro Ahumada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fortunato Arranz struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Supergato. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Ulises Palomera with Klimowicz Mera as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 84 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Ysidro Ahumada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
